Dr. Waxman graduated from University of Toronto’s Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) program with Honours and he earned several awards and scholarships. He then completed an intensive 2-year Specialty Diploma in Dental Anesthesiology at Stony Brook University in Long Island, NY where he was the first to act as Chief Resident in his senior year.
He is an interviewer for the DDS admissions committee at University of Toronto and is an Oral Board Examiner for the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology. He is a Diplomate of the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology (ADBA), President of the Canadian Academy of Dental Anesthesiologists (CADA), and maintains memberships in the American Society of Dental Anesthesiologists (ASDA), Ontario Dental Association, Canadian Dental Association, and the Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity.
Dr. Waxman is a part-time Clinical Instructor at the University Of Toronto’s Dental Anesthesia Department and supervises senior residents during the administration of paediatric general anesthesia. He also provides lectures on various topics related to dental anesthesia.
Dr. Waxman is passionate about anesthesia within dentistry and it is evident in the office with his professionalism and empathy for patients. He has an excellent team who takes their responsibilities seriously. He is fortunate to be able to balance this with a happy and empathic disposition which he shares with doctors, staff, parents and patients. He thrives on building relationships and effective communication.
Away from his clinic, his family is his top priority. His wife and two young children are the utlimate joy of his life. He is a big Toronto Raptors fan, a well-seasoned traveller and an accomplished pianist.
